The Gardening Calendar
In this section, you'll find an in-depth guide to the range of gardening tasks to be carried out in every part of the garden throughout the year. Gardening is not a precise art that follows rigid guidelines; variations in climate, aspect and soil type will affect how plants will grow, and hence the time when sowing, planting and other tasks may be carried out. Rather than break the tasks down month-by-month, the activities have been grouped into seasons.
