Lawn Tasks for Summer

The following table lists the maintenance tasks that you'll need to carry out on your lawn during the summer.

Procedure	Steps
Mowing	Mow 1-3 times a week, setting the mower higher in dry periods. Cut wildflower meadow grass in late summer, once the flowers have set seed.
Watering	Water well in dry periods, before the grass begins to go brown.
Fertilizing	Feed weak or patchy lawns in early summer with lawn fertilizer.
Aerating and Scarifying	Spike or slit areas subject to heavy wear.
Weed and Moss Control	Spot-treat weeds with lawn weedkiller, or dig out by hand.
Other Tasks	Trim edges.
