Controlling Weeds

Once weeds have appeared in your garden, they may be controlled by manual, mechanical or chemical means. The choice of methods will usually depend of the type of weed and its location; annual weeds often respond well to hoeing, whilst persistent perennial weeds often need to be treated with weedkiller.

In this section, we take a look at all three methods and how they may be used to remove weeds from all areas of the garden.
