Setts & Cobbles
Although for many people, the terms sett, cobble and cobblestone are interchangeable, there is in fact quite a difference between them. Setts are man-made blocks of stone ranging in length from 10-25 cm, whereas cobbles (or cobblestones) are naturally water-worn beach or river stones; far more rounded than setts.
