Lovage

Lovage is one of the tallest herbs, capable of growing to more than 2 m (6 ft). It has clusters of yellow flowers and dark green, compound leaves. Delightfully fragrant, the stems and leaves are used in salads, soups and stews. It is also grown for medicinal purposes. Lovage makes a useful windbreak in herb gardens.
Cultivation
This herb will grow in most garden soils, provided they are well drained and enriched with organic fertilizer, in either sun or semi-shade. It`prefers some shade in hot cliÂmates. Propagate from seed sown in spring or autumn.
