Curry Leaf

Native to India and Sri Lanka, this pungent and highly aromatic leaf is always used in curries in regions from which it originates. Murraya koenigii forms a small tree or tall shrub, with compound leaves, clusters of small white flowers and small blackberry-like fruits. It is not commonly cultivated, except in some tropical regions.

Cultivation

In frost-prone climates, grow as a pot plant in an intermediate greenhouse or conservatory, using soil-based potting compost. Outdoors plant in a sunny, well-drained spot. Propagate from seed sown in spring and germinated in a heated propagating case.
